For 12+ years, I have developed tools that help people lead inspired, authentic lives. My audience is comprised of artists, entrepreneurs, activists, and everyday people who want to transform their lives and revolutionize the world around them."
k. Neycha Herford is a leading visionary in the field of personal growth and human consciousness. For the past twelve years, Neycha’s hip and progressive “not your momma’s therapy” brand of counseling has made her a favorite among celebrities, 9to5er’s, artists, rebels and everyday people who seek to live authentic lives. Regularly sought after by various media for her expertise, Neycha specializes in self-inquiry, authentic living, career synthesis, creativity, grief & loss, and personal transformation. Her work has appeared in numerous popular journals, newspapers and magazines including Ebony Magazine, Theroot.com, Timeout New York, and the National Crime Journal Report. Neycha has lectured widely along with presenting high-voltage transformative workshops. Her popular straight up, no chaser communication style earned a loyal following at ebonyjet.com, where she served as the resident advice columnist in 2008 and 2009. Neycha is a co-director and the lead moderator for the Full Spectrum panel discussion series – Conversations Among Artists, Activists, Explorers & Thinkers founded by Danny Simmons and Brian Tate, and presented by Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation and Con Edison. Neycha is a gifted communicator who is deeply curious about people and the stories that define their lives. She combines her love of humor with her passion for perspective to conduct intuitive and compelling interviews with revolutionary artists and progressive thinkers like Dr. Cornell West, DJ Spooky aka Paul Miller, Dead Prez and many others. Also an acclaimed musician, Neycha was named “1 of 4 Soul Singers You Need To Know About Now” by Trace Magazine and “A New American Badass” by Time Out New York. Her genre defiant CDs the dirty side up and White Noise along with the acid hip-hop anthems for which Neycha is perhaps best known are what she calls “instinct music - from the guts out.” She is the author of White Noise; a book for the tragically bereaved written after the murder of her long time beau in 2002. Since then, Neycha has been an advocate for other survivors of homicide victims through her personal work, The White Noise Project. The work was developed to provide survivors with a creative outlet to speak about the toll of their loss and to help reorient the public’s perception about murder and the toll it takes on society. The White Noise Project along with Neycha’s other properties (neycha.com, tobeconscious.com, tobearwitness.org, theremixelife.com) gives testament to her profound commitment to provide safe spaces for others to bear witness. She is currently working on completing her third full-length album, Note To Self, a companion book and a filmed conversations series. As an artist, seeker and change agent, Neycha’s work continues to explore the synthesis of art, philosophy, psychology and spirituality. Through mixed media, she offers her audience dynamic tools that empower them to “shift, remix and evolve.” In her own words... Deeply driven by an insatiable desire to help others, it is my intention through my work to create and provide progressive platforms that encourage self-inquiry, personal transformation and social action. I am an avid supporter of crossfaders and believe it is those who draw from a multitude of ideas and disciplines that stand to make the greatest impact on social consciousness in the 21st century. |
